Hold on a minute you say, this was supposed to be the good news. The reviews were good, but just not enough people made the effort to get to the cinema. Trying to pull itself out from under the shadow of Stallone's 1996 stinker of a movie couldn't have helped either. For the record, I thought the 3D really worked well, especially in the trippy 'Slo-Mo' enhanced scenes. There are debates all over the internet as to why it didn't do so well in cinemas - being heavily marketed as Dredd 3D certainly didn't help its cause, since many people may have been put off by the 3D being right up there in the title. The box office takings don't look great - IMDb put it at about $32 million against a budget of $50 million.

I was thrilled that I got to interview them both before the film came out and the one question that was on everyone's lips was - 'Will we get a sequel?' Garland was excited by the prospect, but realistic about the chances and Karl Urban had an idea of who he'd like to square off against, but at the end of the day, it comes down to the numbers. Alex Garland's script was spot on and Karl Urban nailed the role in so many ways. Not a fan of the Fungal Stay Puft Marshmallow Woman?I grew up reading Judge Dredd and I loved last year's movie interpretation. Her strength is great (19), and her gross weight is quite high, despite her fungoid nature-over 2,000 pounds. In all, Zuggtmoy is revolting to behold and disgusting to smell blotchy patches of mold, smut, and blight cover her body. Body texture and odor are likewise obviously fungoid. Color can be moss green, dull brown, red-orange, mottled purple, etc., ranging the whole spectrum of colors possible to fungi growths. The body coloration is variable, as Zuggtmoy is able to change it to suit her surroundings, though she is typically of a pale grayish-white or brownish-white color, the head slightly darker. These growths can extend opposing digits if desired. Zuggtmoy can extrude a pair of three-foot long pseudopodial arms from either hemisphere of her body, at will.

The eyes are round, black, and blank-looking. The mushroom-stem neck is two feet long, capped by a head which appears to have squashed humanoid features. The globular torso is flattened at the bottom and bulges at its equator, so that the legs reach to a bit over 3-foot height, the body another 30 inches higher, but with a horizontal diameter of nearly five feet. Four elephantine legs with suckered bottoms support the spherical body. She resembles a puffball mushroom with a toadstool growing on top. Description: Zuggtmoy's natural form is bulbous.
